The restaurant is located just around the corner behind the store. It is vegetarian, so if things aren't marked you may need to ask what items are vegan. The setup is cafeteria style and can be done for dine in or take out. You walk through the line and choose your own portion sizes from the salad bar and hot food items. These are paid for by weight. Drinks are desserts usually have designated prices per item. The food is good and always varies. The seating area is located around the corner from the cashier, and if you're nice, you bus your own table. If you are in Prague, both the restaurant and store are worth a visit.

Country Life Store and Restaurant, Prague, Czech Republic
There are multiple locations, but the easiest I have found to access is located by the Old Town Square in Prage 1. The store offers organic and specialty items including soy yogurts, meat alternatives, vegan cheeses and spreads, cookies, pasta sauce, cereal, etc. As with most grocery stores in Prague, if you do not bring your own bag, you must pay for a bag if you need one. It may cost a little more than other grocery stores, but that's to be expected for an organic/specialty store.
Melantrichova 463/15, Stare Mesto, 110 00 Praha-Prag, Czech Repulic; +420-224-213-366; c ountrylife.cz. The website is in Czech, and web translators will not translate everything.
The store is open Monday-Thursday: 8:30am-7pm; Friday: 8:30am-3-6pm (depends on the month); Sunday 11am-6pm; Closed Saturday.

Stella's Lounge, Grand Rapids, MI
Stella's Lounge is a bar later in the evening, but during the day and early evening you can order food. The atmosphere is a bit dark since it is really set up for nightlife, but it's still a nice place to grab some food, especially if you're in the downtown area.
Stella's does have meat items on their menu, but the vegan items, and those which can be made vegan are clearly marked. The "Ride the Lightning" salad is a nice mix, with a large portion, and at $6.95 is a great deal. The french fries and chili are also great, and there are many more options available as well.
Since it's located downtown, you'll have to drive around to find street parking. Stellas entrance is a bit hard to find off of Ionia, but you can also enter on Commerce Ave, just be careful because one side of the sign says "Stella's", but the other side says "The Viceroy". They are both in the same building, you just have to walk through The Viceroy if you enter from Commerce to get to Stella's.
53 Commerce Ave, Grand Rapids, MI. (616) SHAG-444. They are open Monday-Saturday: 11:30am-2am; Sunday: noon-2am. The kitchen closes at 10pm on Sundays, 11pm Monday-Wenesday, and 1:30am Thursday-Saturday. Minors are allowed in with their parents until 8pm.

Brick Road Pizza Co, Grand Rapids, MI
It seems like Grand Rapids is starting to thrive with places that are catering to vegans, which makes me very happy when I travel home to visit family and friends.
Brick Road marks all items which are vegan or can be made vegan on their menus, and also on their website. They have pizza, pasta, and sandwich options available for reasonable prices. The food is great for takeout, or for dining in. They have a lunch buffet offered Tuesday-Friday, but I'm not sure about the vegan options available for this.
If you're feeling like pizza, this is the place to go, and you can choose from a variety of toppings, including many alternative protein sources. They use vegan cheese that actually melts, so you may even be able to fool some of your non-vegan friends.
1017 Wealthy Street, Grand Rapids, MI. (616) 719-2409. Open Tuesday-Saturday: 11am-11pm; Sunday: 11am-9pm; closed Mondays.

Little Africa Cuisine, Grand Rapids, MI
I went here in May after having some troubles trying to eat their previously.
I shared a combo for 2 people, which was around $20 total, and was so much food. Everything in the combo was vegan. The food comes served on their traditional bread, with extra pieces of the bread served as well. We were also given little water bowls to rinse our fingers with since you eat with your hands and use the bread to scoop up the dishes.
There is only a little bit of street parking available so you may have to walk a few blocks, but the food was delicous and the service great. We were the only people dining in, but there were people coming in ordering take-out while we were there for lunch.
956 Fulton Street East, Grand Rapids, MI, 49503. (616) 222-1169. You may want to call ahead, to make sure they are open. They do not have a website, and no hours of operation are listed online.
